I purchased the backyard birds audio and thought it was worth a try for $1. Wow was I blown away! I homeschool our kids, and the oldest is 6 and very interested in birds and bird watching. This audio was perfectly age appropriate. It’s packed with a ton of info and facts but in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming. We all loved the trivia and quizzes at the end. This was really an amazing supplement, and I am hoping tons more content is released in the future! I loaded the audio onto a Yoto card so the kids can listen anytime. Thanks for this resource!
This was a lot of fun to listen to, and my kids loved the quiz after all the facts & calls. They were excited to tell their grandparents all the bird facts they learned. Highly recommend!
We loved this. Short, sweet, and left us with all kinds of new bird knowledge. We now look at our yard, and the birds in it, with new eyes. Loved the quiz as well!
We have enjoyed this very much! Especially the quizzes at the end. I only wish it was longer with many more birds. For future reference (if there's ever a second/third bird audio), when the bird call is being played, it would be better to let the call play solo for a few seconds before speaking about the bird. That way we all can hear the call more distinctly. We have some bird call CDs that do it that way and it's helpful. This is a wonderful addition to our yoto cards! Thanks!!!
My eight year old is super interested in birds right now! I bought this and put it on a MYO Yoto card and surprised him with it. He was so excited about it and listened to it right away. Later that night he told me, "I really like that Backyard Birds card!"
